Earl Jantzi

Earl Jantzi was born in Kitchener, ON, in 1965, the son of Ohmer and Esther (Zehr) Jantzi. He had four sisters and five brothers. Deitsch was Earl’s first first language. Earl attended the Cedar Grove Amish Mennonite Church and got his grade 8 education at the congregation’s parochial school in New Prussia. After finishing school, Earl farmed with his parents for more than 30 years. Since 2017 ,Earl has been employed as a chauffeur for Old Order Mennonites and Amish with whom he continues to use the Deitsch language. In 2004, Earl married Darcee Overgaard from Montana. They live in New Prussia where Earl enjoys being uncle and great-uncle to a large, extended family.
